I wanted to introduce something fun, different, challenging, and group orientated as a new fun twist for I Love to Read Month...and so The Great Library Escape came to life!!
I divided our community groups up into smaller groups so they could work together more efficiently to solve each clue. This took me about two weeks to plan in between my other responsibilities here at the school and how pleased I was with the feedback I received from each group. Planning an escape room is fun and addicting! Blending one clue to another ignited my imagination. I created different tasks to keep each group engaged to figure each clue out.
There were 11 clues in total and a time line set.
Because of the positive feedback I have received, I will definitely be doing another one next year!
